new light

I am starting to realize what a joy it must be to be a parent, my wife and I are expecting our first child on or around June 1st and I can't wait. The respect I have for the many men and women who are called to leave there families to serve this great country has had a new light shed upon it, this has to be one of the hardest things someone can be asked to do. I hope everyone back home is doing well and this finds you in good spirits, and to my wife I love and miss you greatly, be strong and hold on to the day we will see each other again.

I am proud of you and your wife! Not to mention the rest of our troops and their loved ones. The sacrifice you make every day is one that a lot of us would never consider, but too many are so quick to pass judgment. You are steadfast in honoring your responsibilities. You remain strong in your faith while there is suffering all around you. You are standing by your convictions, and the pain of being separated from your bride and your son is something only someone in your shoes could even pretend to understand. We are praying for your safety, your wife's comfort and the blessed reunion when you three will be together again. Don't doubt the cause; stay strong in God and in country! We love you little cousin!
